According to data from the Ovcharov Institute of Rhetoric, the best speaker in Ukraine is Odesa region governor Mikheil Saakashvili. In the opinion of the institute of rhetoric specialists, Mikheil Saakashvili is constantly engaged in live communication with people and skillfully parries challenges, effectively using public speaking techniques.

The institute's specialists also noted musician and public figure Andriy Kuzmenko as one of the most influential and brightest speakers of 2015. Next in the top five rankings are Oleg Lyashko, Gennadiy Balashov, and Yulia Tymoshenko.

What criteria was the ranking based on?

The ranking of the best speakers was compiled based on coefficients of audience impact and public speaking technique. These indicators allow for objective assessment of both the effectiveness of the speaker's influence on listeners and the professional level of mastery of oratorical techniques.

The audience impact coefficient takes into account the resonance of speeches in media, social networks, and changes in public opinion. The public speaking technique coefficient evaluates the use of rhetorical devices, argumentation, and public speaking strategies.

What assessment did experts give to the overall level of oratory in Ukraine?

"We carefully monitor political and public rhetoric in Ukraine, its development. Unfortunately, Ukrainian politicians overestimate their oratorical abilities, like, for example, the prime minister or president, which ultimately affects their persuasiveness and level of trust in them," reported the head of the institute of rhetoric, Mykola Ovcharov.

Such an assessment indicates the need to raise the level of oratorical culture among Ukrainian politicians and public figures for more effective communication with society.

The Ovcharov Institute of Rhetoric is a non-governmental organization that deals with analyzing trends in the development of public speaking, compiling rankings of the best speakers, as well as public speaking mastery courses.

The institute's activities are aimed at raising the overall level of oratorical culture in Ukraine and popularizing professional standards of public speaking among politicians, businesspeople, and public figures.
