Mykola Ovcharov Delivered a Lecture on Public Speaking at "Ye" Bookstore

Founder and trainer of the Ovcharov Institute of Rhetoric, Mykola Ovcharov, delivered a public lecture on December 7, 2025, at "Ye" Bookstore in Obolon about how oratory skills can be applied in everyday life.

A lively discussion with the audience took place during the lecture. "There's an interesting trend: the quality of questions from listeners has significantly changed compared to previous years. Previously, people mostly asked about general things — how to overcome nervousness before speaking, how to be more confident, how to improve memory. Today, questions have become much more specific: how to eliminate filler words, how to respond to provocative questions, how to improve diction, how to use rhetorical techniques in work meetings," shares Mykola Ovcharov.

A particularly pleasant surprise was the presence of parents with children at the lecture. When children hear from an early age about the importance of proper speech, rich vocabulary, and the absence of profanity — it forms the right communication habits for life.

The lecture emphasized a key insight: public speaking is not limited to the stage or podium. Rhetorical skills are applied daily: in difficult conversations with colleagues, during important meetings, in family communication. Participants received practical tools they can use starting the very next day.

The Ovcharov Institute of Rhetoric thanks "Ye" Bookstore for the invitation and the opportunity to share knowledge with a wide audience.
